Purpose – Humungous wealth, property, prosperity, authority, perfect health, higher education, luck, success in all endeavors and complete contentment in all aspects of life.
1. Viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) -
asyaśrī saubhāgyalakṣmī mahāmantrasya ।
deveśa ṛṣiḥ ।
gāyatryai chandaḥ ।
mahālakṣmīr devatā ।
śrīm̐ bījaṃ ।
hrīm̐ śaktiḥ ।
saubhāgyalakṣmyeti kīlakaṃ ।
mama sarvasaubhāgya siddhyarthe śrī-guror-anujñāyā mahāmantra jape viniyogaḥ ॥
अस्यश्री सौभाग्यलक्ष्मी महामन्त्रस्य ।
देवेश ऋषिः ।
गायत्र्यै छन्दः ।
महालक्ष्मीर् देवता ।
श्रीँ बीजं ।
ह्रीँ शक्तिः ।
सौभाग्यलक्ष्म्येति कीलकं ।
मम सर्वसौभाग्य सिद्ध्यर्थे श्रीगुरोरनुज्ञाया महामन्त्र जपे विनियोगः ॥
Meaning - This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke Śrī Saubhāgyalakṣmī in our heart, perform mantra japa to obtain Her complete grace in all aspects, including the four puruṣārthas – dharma (following own nature), artha (wealth), kāma (desires) and mokṣa (liberation) and all desires that one may seek from the Divine. The sage who visually saw this mantra (ṛṣiḥ) is Deveśa. The meter (chandas) for the mantra is Gāyatrī of twenty-four syllables and its variations. The deity is Śrī Mahālakṣmī devatā, the seed (bījaṃ) is śrīm̐, the power (śakti) is hrīm̐. The key (kīlaka) that binds the mantra is Saubhāgyalakṣmī. By the grace and command of our guru and the guru lineage, we pledge to undertake the mantra japa in full earnest.

Touch both the feet with the right ring finger and thumb joined together. |

Saubhāgyalakṣmeti kīlakāya namaḥ nābhau। |
सौभाग्यलक्ष्म्येति कीलकाय नमः नाभौ। |
Touch the navel with the right ring finger and thumb joined together. |
7 |
mama sarvasaubhāgya siddhyarthe śrī-guror-anujñāyā mahāmantra jape viniyogāya namaḥ sarvāṅge । |

Run both the palms all over the body. |

ॐ श्रः - करतलकर पृष्ठाभ्यां फट् । |
Open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm. |
7 |
इति कर न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Kara nyāsa. |
4.Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsaḥ (षडाङ्गन्यासः) -

Cross both the hands and touch both shoulders with the palms. |

om̐ śraum̐ - netratrayāya vauṣaṭ । |
ॐ श्रौँ - नेत्रत्रयाय वौषट् । |
Touch the eyes with the right index and ring fingers, with the middle finger touching the ājña cakra. |

om̐ śraḥ - astrāya phaṭ । |
ॐ श्रः - अस्त्राय फट् । |
Open up the left palm and strike it three times with index and middle fingers of the right hand. |
7 |
iti ṣaḍaṅga nyāsaḥ ॥ |
इति षडङ्ग न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsa. |
bhūr-bhuva-ssuvarom-iti digbandhaḥ ॥
भूर्भुवस्सुवरोम् इति दिग्बन्धः ॥
Meaning: May the directions be charmed and bound, to prevent any external obstacles from the powers residing in the triads – the Earth, atmosphere and the heavens.
5. Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -
lakṣmīr-divyair-gajendrair-maṇigaṇa-khacitaiḥ snāpitāhemakumbhaiḥ nityaṃsā padmahastā vasatu mamagṛhe sarvamāṅgalyayuktā ॥
यासा पद्मासनस्था विपुलकटितटी पद्मपत्रायताक्षी गम्भीरावर्त नाभिस्तनभरणमिता शुभ्रवस्त्रोत्तरीया ।
लक्ष्मीर्दिव्यैर्गजेन्द्रैर्मणिगणखचितैः स्नापिताहेमकुम्भैः नित्यंसा पद्महस्ता वसतु ममगृहे सर्वमाङ्गल्ययुक्ता ॥
Meaning: Salutations to the Divine Mother Śrī Saubhāgyalakṣmī, seated on an expansive lotus. She is extremely beautiful and well-endowed with large hips, deep navel, heavy breasts and lotus petal like eyes, adorned in clean white garments. She is constantly showered by two elephants by Her side holding golden vessels and She is adorned with magnificent pearls and all types of precious gems. Her arms also resemble lotus petals and She is absolutely breathtaking in appearance. May She reside with us and shower us with abundance, luck, auspiciousness, health, all types of wealth, education and success in all endeavors.

रँ वह्न्यात्मिकायै दीपम् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the middle fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs. |

vam̐ amṛtātmikāyai naivedyam kalpayāmi namaḥ । |
वँ अमृतात्मिकायै नैवेद्यम् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the ring fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs. |
6 |
sam̐ sarvātmikāyai karpūramiśrita tāmbūlādi sarvopacārān kalpayāmi namaḥ । |
सँ सर्वात्मिकायै कर्पूरमिश्रित ताम्बूलादि सर्वोपचारान् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of the fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position. |

Thus ends the Pañcapūjā. |
7.Mantraḥ (मन्त्रः) -
om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm̐ klīm̐ mahālakṣmī ehyehi sarva-saubhāgyam me dehi svāhā ॥
ॐ श्रीँ ह्रीँ क्लीँ महालक्ष्मी एह्येहि सर्वसौभाग्यम् मे देहि स्वाहा ॥
The 21 lettered Śrī Saubhāgyalakṣmī mantra should be recited at least 108 times. Initiation is required.
Meaning -
This is a twenty-one syllabled mantra with some syllables representing bīja (seed) mantras. The parts of the main mantra including the bījas are described below. –
- The bīja (seed) mantra “om̐ (ॐ)” consists of – ‘au’ => healing and deep cleansing, ‘m̐’ => removes misery. Ushers in auspiciousness. The singular reality or Brahman as Śabda (sound vibrations) is indicated by this bīja.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “śrīm̐ (श्रीँ)” consists of – ‘śa’ indicates Mahālakṣmī, repha ‘ra’ indicates dhana or wealth, ‘ī’ indicates tuṣṭi or satisfaction, ‘m̐’ denotes nāda indicating parā or śakti and vindu indicates duḥkhahara or removal of all miseries.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “hrīm̐ (ह्रीँ)” consists of – ‘h’ => Brahman/śiva, ‘r’ => fire and drive within us, ‘ī’ => energy and the source of all power that helps us ascend, ‘m̐’ => removal of all miseries and facilitator of self-realization and ultimate liberation.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “klīm̐ (क्लीँ)” consists of – ‘ka’ is for Kāmadeva or Kṛṣṇa, indicating all our wishes, aspirations and desires, ‘la’ for indra indicating victory in all undertakings, ‘ī’ for tuṣṭi, meaning fulfillment and contentment, ‘m̐’ for sukha, meaning enjoyment as well as removal of all miseries and facilitation of self-realization and ultimate liberation.
- The word “mahālakṣmī (महालक्ष्मी)” denotes the Divine Mother Mahālakṣmī, who represents all types of wealth (material and spiritual), auspiciousness, wealth, luck, fruition and success.
The word is repeated twice to beg for Her attention.
- The word “ehyehi (एह्येहि)” denotes “please come closer”. It is a prayer requesting Her presence.
- The word “sarva-saubhāgyam (सर्वसौभाग्यम्)” denotes all types of prosperity, auspiciousness, wealth, property, success, luck etc.
- The words “me dehi (मे देहि)” denote “please embody within”. This is a prayer to obtain all our cherished wishes and desires by Her divine grace.
- The Vahnisundarī bīja (seed) mantra “svāhā (स्वाहा)” represents complete submission and surrender to the Divine.
Salutations to the highly revered Divine in the form of Śrī Saubhāgyalakṣmī to shower Her complete grace upon us and fill us with auspiciousness, all types of wealth, property, prosperity, authority, perfect health, higher education, luck and success in all endeavors.
Recitation of this mantra can lead to the removal of all our miseries and bestows complete happiness and contentment.
8. Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsaḥ (षडाङ्गन्यासः) -

9.Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -
yāsā padmāsanasthā vipula-kaṭitaṭī padma-patrāyat-ākṣī gambhīrāvarta nābhi-stana-bharaṇamitā śubhravastrottarīyā ।
lakṣmīr-divyair-gajendrair-maṇigaṇa-khacitaiḥ snāpitāhemakumbhaiḥ nityaṃsā padmahastā vasatu mamagṛhe sarvamāṅgalyayuktā ॥

11. Samarpaṇam (समर्पणम्) –
guhyādi guhya goptrītvam gṛhaṇāsmat kṛtaṃ japaṃ ।
siddhirbhavatu me devi tvat prasadān mayī sthirā ॥
गुह्यादि गुह्य गोप्त्रीत्वम् गृहणास्मत् कृतं जपं ।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देवि त्वत् प्रसदान् मयी स्थिरा ॥
Meaning: O Lord, you are the most hidden secret of all secrets. May these mantra japa counts performed by me, be offered to you in totality. Our prayers and hope, are that your grace shall remain with us always.
